Lot 30032 > SCYTHIA. Geto-Dacians. Coson (ca. after 54 BC). AV stater (19mm, 8.39 gm, 12h). NGC MS 4/5 - 4/5. Ca. 44-42 BC. Roman consul walking left, accompanied by two lictors fore and aft; KOΣΩN in exergue / Eagle with spread wings standing left on scepter, clutching laurel wreath in right talon; • in upper and lower left fields. HGC 3.2, 2049. RPC I 1701. Received as an anonymous donation to the Salvation Army in a Tampa "red kettle" location on 6 December 2019. Originally in an ICG holder, we have since upgraded it to an NGC holder.
