An exceedingly rare type. Struck on a slightly wavy flan, displaying light weakness in some areas but retaining much mint luster. Elizabeth, the daughter of Peter the Great, ascended to the throne by coup and during her 20 year reign accomplished such notable tasks as establishing the University of Moscow, creating a state theater, and outlawing the death penalty. The sole other example of this issue we have had the pleasure of offering, in NGC XF40, realized $39,656.25 including Buyer's Premium in January 2014 (Auction 3029, Lot 30328).
