Italian States - Sardinia - Carlo Alberto (1831-1849), Bronze Trial 5 Lire 1831 (Genoa mint ?) (Bronze, 21.84 gr, 41 mm). Extremely Fine.
Perhaps more appropriately deemed a die trial than a pattern, as the design appears identical to the standard issue. Struck in bronze without a collar, in medal alignment, with plain edege. It is believed to be unique, and represent a great interest of the italian numismatic. Probably struck on a foreign planchet.
